Summary and Suggestions

1. Purpose of practicum

The purpose of this practicum is to develop the ability to teach at the international level so that it can simultaneously practice English language skills. And to see the differences in the education system in each country so that it can increase our knowledge.

2. Practicum procedures

The Sea Teacher program is carried out for 4 weeks so that it is divided into 4 stages. The first week is observation to the destination school and group meeting, the second week of material distribution and preparation of lesson plans, the third week of teaching practice in class, and the fourth week of blog creation and evaluation.

3. Outcomes of practicum

From participating in this program and doing the practicum, I was able to know the differences in the education system in each country, my English skills improved. I was also able to get to know different cultures from various countries, and my network of friends expanded.

4. Practicum Challenges

In the practicum, of course, I faced several challenges. One of them is in communication, because there are some students who cannot speak English. Therefore I had to have a solution, I made a ppt with two languages (English and Vietnamese) so that students who could not speak English could still follow the learning well.

5. Overall Impression

During the 26 days in Vietnam I felt very grateful. Thankful that God still gives me the opportunity to be able to join the sea teacher program, I can teach at the future school which is very extraordinary, I also get a very caring host University, get good and friendly friends. These will all be wonderful memories in my life, thank you very much.

6. Suggestions for future improvement

I hope this sea teacher program can continue to the next batch. Because this program is a place for students to be able to develop themselves internationally.
